Yogyakarta, Never Ending Asia



Did you ever go to Indonesia? What is your favorite city in here? I guessed that all of you answered Bali. But, if you know Indonesia is large country, large nation, and many tribes that can be found here. It makes Indonesia has a lot of beautiful places. I’ll tell you about, Yogyakarta, one of big city that located in the Center of Java Island. You can take an Indonesia Maps, look forward Java Island, and you’ll get this city in center point of Java Island. Yogyakarta is called Special Region of Yogyakarta because the unique city with many history.

Yogyakarta had ever a capital of Indonesia when Indonesian struggling to defend their Independence. You can see the spirit of this struggle by seeing the museum. Fort Vredeburg is one of dead witness that can tell more about that story. Fort Vredeburg located in Malioboro Street, the famous street in Yogyakarta. You can enter this museum by paid IDR 3000. Don’t forget to bring your camera or video recorder to take a nice picture or video.

Now, let’s talk about Malioboro Street. This street is the most favorite location for domestic and foreign tourist. You can see a foot way that’s occupied by street vendors. They sell traditional little things, batik, and many others. I’m sure that it will be nice experience cause you never found that before. You ever heard about dokar? Yes, dokar is traditional carriage drawn by horse. You can feel the sensation by paid IDR 100.000-150.000. The price can be up and down depend on peak or low season holiday.

Another places that you can visit in Yogyakarta such as Parangtritis Beach, Mount Merapi, and many others. So, I invited you, and everyone in this planet to visit Indonesia, enjoy the beautiful, and feel the hospitality that’ll make you come again and again to this country.
